Materials that must be a certain size have to be screened. Bank material is dumped onto a vibrating screen which will separate it into two or more products.

Stones that do not fit through the top screen (generally termed "oversize") are sent into one stockpile while smaller material falls through and can be stockpiled separately or (in the case of multideck screens) land on lower deck screens and separated further.

Cable Sand:
Fine uniform screened natural sand (no stones)
Burying hydro cable ...screened material with no rocks that could damage hydro or water lines
Septic Sand:
conforming to to a tight specification having water retention qualities (T-time of 5 to 15 minutes)
For Standard or Raised Septic beds
Golf Coarse Sand: Used for dressing golf course tees ...screened to reduce chance of stones  damaging golf club face  
Sports Field Sand: Sand which can be mixed with mulch to provide base for grassed sports fields, allows adequate drainage, softer field and no stones to injure players  
Baseball Mix:
Special Sand and Stone Chip Mixture
Soft sand and small stone chips provide drainage and strength while allowing ballplayers safer sliding into bases with less sandpaper effect when dry
Ice Control Sand:
Coarser well-graded screened sand
Spread on road surfaces to prevent accidents during icy road conditions and to provide drainage in some conditions
Fine Granular B:
Natural bank material screened to 2.5 inches and less to produce a more uniform product and eliminate any oversize stone
Product is screened to produce specification product from finer bank material for base and backfilling applications
Oversize:
Mainly Round Stone over 3" in size
Landscaping, large drainage applications and as sub-base
